{"id":3763,"date":"2023-04-03T17:44:17","date_gmt":"2023-04-03T17:44:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.as.uky.edu\/genchem\/?p=3763"},"modified":"2023-04-04T19:50:47","modified_gmt":"2023-04-04T19:50:47","slug":"what-kind-of-ppe-is-necessary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.as.uky.edu\/genchem\/what-kind-of-ppe-is-necessary\/","title":{"rendered":"What kind of PPE is necessary?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>You are required to wear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provided scrub pants, scrub shirt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Socks are required. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shoes must completely cover the foot with shoe material. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-permeable shoes are recommended. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Splash resistant goggles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Goggles are required when anyone is working with chemicals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your TA will inform you of instances when goggles are not required, otherwise expect to need them every lab<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Personal Protective Attire is chosen to fit the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pants should be loose fitting and long enough to completely cover the legs and ankles. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shirts should cover the torso and extend to the top of pants\/skirts. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shirts should have sleeves and cover your front and back. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Feet must be coverd with non-permeable shoe material.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Splash resistant goggles meeting the ANSI Z87+ standard are required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You are required to wear: Goggles are required when anyone is working with chemicals.
