On the lab exam, do I need to know what solutions we used?
No, it’s important that you understand why we used a particular reagent instead of what the concentration was. For example, knowing that the addition HCl will result in the precipitation of insoluble chloride salts such as AgCl is more important than regurgitating the fact that we used 0.10 M HCl in the experiment.
