What should I study for the CHE 113 final exam?

Topics will vary from semester to semester, however, you should focus your studies around the following items:

Topics

  • Safety
  • Syllabus and Policies
  • CHE 111 review material. See topics list under the Canvas Module “Quiz and Exam Information.” You will also find copies of old exams in “Gen Chem Exam Repository”.
  • Experiments 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18
    • PlayPosits
    • Achieve
    • Smart Worksheets
    • Lab Manual
    • Canvas
  • Quizzes 1, 2, 3, and 4
  • Some may also say that the lab final is a lot like your lecture exams. This should not be surprising as we cover the same material! 🙂

Other hints

  • There will be questions with
    • non 1:1 stoichiometry, including a titration problem
    • writing and balancing chemical reactions
    • writing net ionic equations
    • interpreting graphical data, like you did on your assignments.
      • Expect to have to intepret the
        • freezing point depression graphs
        • pressure graphs
        • convert pressure to concentration
  • You may be asked about specific things about the procedures or the experiments themselves, however, you will not be tested on the use of the MeasureNet station specifically (the buttons you have to push to accomplish a task is not being tested).
